The ancient technique of block printing is passed down through generations and is truly a work of art. The labor intensive process begins by carving a wooden block into intricate designs. Once the block is complete, it is dipped into the color and pressed by hand onto the fabric. If additional colors are used, the process begins again for each additional color. Knowing that a human hand painstakingly created these lovely creations makes us love them even more and creates a connection to the artisan from afar.
